Diagnostic of the Capacity of Direction of the Head of the University Teaching Department

Abstract
The present article aims at characterizing the direction capacity training of the head of the university teaching department within the processes at the university. The head of the departments and the careers were selected, as a superior authority along the students training. Among the methods applied highlight the empirical interview, surveys, observation of the direction of the process and the documents review, that allowed the empirical information processing. The theoretical applied were the analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, and the historic-logical, which also permitted the information processing; likewise, on the deepening of regulations and other bibliographical sources; as well as drawing to conclusions. The diagnostic developed revealed insufficiencies at the level of direction capacity training of the selected heads of the university teaching departments and the lack of a coherent conception functioning as a theoretico-methodological base at the universities analyzed in relation to the way they conceived the training process of this capacity.
