La IA como herramienta de apoyo en la investigación científicas en los docentes investigadores del ISTE
Main Article Content
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) has now emerged as an essential tool in any field and scientific research is no exception. Based on this, the objective of this study is to expose the growing importance of AI in scientific research and its various roles in the investigative process. For which the research approach is qualitative-quantitative and cross-sectional, the study population considered to be the ISTE research teachers to whom an information collection instrument was applied that allowed us to know their perception of AI in the processes of research it develops. Among the main results, it stands out that 73% of research teachers believe that AI has had a significant and positive impact on scientific research so far, while 3% believe that it has had a limited impact. On the other hand, in relation to the challenges and limitations in using AI in scientific research, 50% of respondents point out the lack of understanding of how to use AI as the biggest challenge, followed by the lack of access to AI resources and technology (20%), sessions on AI algorithms (14%) and limitations in the interpretation of AI results (17%). Based on what has been described, it can be concluded that AI is considered valuable in scientific research, but its use may be hindered by technological and access challenges.
