Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between internal communication management and organizational climate in the Unidad Educativa Fiscal de Puyo, Ecuador. The study employed a mixed-methods approach with a descriptive and cross-sectional design, using surveys and interviews to gather perceptions from teaching and administrative staff regarding the clarity, effectiveness, and accessibility of internal communication. Likert-scale surveys were administered to 92 participants, and structured interviews were conducted to explore qualitative aspects. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The results indicate that, while communication channels are generally well-regarded, there are areas for improvement in terms of clarity, accessibility, and feedback. A significant number of employees feel that their opinions are not sufficiently considered, which affects cohesion and the sense of belonging within the institution. Although the organizational climate is mostly perceived as collaborative, opportunities exist to strengthen departmental integration and enhance staff participation mechanisms. It is concluded that well-managed internal communication fosters trust, commitment, and coordination within the institution, whereas deficiencies generate uncertainty and demotivation. To address these issues, the study proposes implementing a more structured information management system, establishing effective feedback mechanisms, and promoting interdepartmental dialogue spaces.
